CAP was founded on Dec. 1, 1941, and Starbase Composite Squadron is celebrating with a series of educational and leadership oriented guest speakers each month. The open house is a part of the 75th anniversary observance designed to create a greater awareness of CAP’s presence and contributions in the community.

Guest Speaker: Cory Minter, Staffing Expert and Co-Founder of Trinity Employment Services.

Cory Minter Starbase Composite SquadronAs the leader of one of the top staffing companies in Oklahoma, Cory Minter has been in the recruitment business since 2000. Trinity Employment Specialists was originally founded by Cory and Amber Minter in 2009. Despite the national and local economic challenges that existed at the time, the couple worked together to quickly grow the company into a multi-million dollar business within the first four years. Since that time they have been named as one of Tulsa’s top 40 fastest growing privately-owned companies by The Journal Record and Cory Minter has become a regular contributor to the Tulsa World and other publications.  Inc. Magazine recently ranked Trinity Employment Specialists on the Magazine’s 35th Annual List of America’s 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies.  Cory currently serves as a Thrive15.com mentor and is the author of several books including, “It’s Time For A Change“, “Handbook to Getting Hired in Today’s Recession“, and “Career Development Essentials.

Cory Minter co-founded Trinity Employment Specialists with his wife, Amber Minter, in 2009. He originally had the idea to start a staffing company when he was working as a Career Development Director at a local career college. On a daily basis he continued to see the gap widening between what employers were looking for and what staffing companies were providing in the way of staffing solutions. Because of this daily exposure to this disconnect, he became more and more confident that his business could fill a vital niche for the city.

With a personal investment and a small line of credit from a local bank, Cory and Amber started the company out of their house,Cory Minter Starbase Composite Squadron followed by their first office space within the first 3 months. Like most new entrepreneurs, Cory woke up each morning wondering where his next deal was going to come from. However, rather than spending all day worrying, Cory picked up the phone and  continued to call everyone that he believed might be struggling to find the right employees for their job openings.

As he began meeting with more and more staffing managers, the deals began pouring in. It seemed as though everybody in Tulsa was struggling to find great employees for their business. Soon the small company began to thrive. Over the next four years, the company grew from zero annual sales to over a million dollars in annual sales on a shoestring marketing budget and without taking on any business debt.

Today Trinity Employment Specialists has grown to provide staffing services for many prominent businesses within the Tulsa area including: Hillcrest Hospital, The Orthopaedic CenterSaint Francis/Warren Clinics, the Tulsa Business Journal, Oklahoma State Medical Center, Tulsa Gold & Gem, City National Bank, State Farm, among others.

We hope that you will join us in what will surely be an exciting night as Cory Minter shares his experiences in entrepreneurship and leadership.
