Tulsa Area Event Support – Citizen’s Serving Communities

What can the Starbase Composite Squadron do for your event or program?

Are you looking for Tulsa area event support?  Thank you for your interest in what the Civil Air Patrol, Starbase Composite Squadron can do for your event.  We are an Oklahoma U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol Squadron and we have a heart for volunteering in our community.  We have participated in air shows, car shows, veteran events, holiday events, visiting with vets at the Claremore Veterans Center, and simply lending a helping hand to local nonprofits with their events benefiting a wide range of community groups, including that of special needs children and cancer patients.  Below are some of the opportunities we’ve had to give back to our community in the form of volunteer service as Tulsa area event support staff.  Reach out to us if you have an event coming up, and let us help you.

Color Guard:

Our Honor Guard: Colors Element is one of Tulsa’s most renowned Color Guards.  We have posted or presented the Colors at a variety of Tulsa’s most prestigious events; including Tulsa Drillers Baseball games, University of Tulsa Football games, Young Businessmen of Tulsa events, Soldier’s Wish events, Sons of the American Revolution events, charity events, Veteran’s Day events, military remembrance events, and graduations.  Our teams have had the honor to show respect at hundreds of venues around Tulsa and across the State of Oklahoma.  If your Tulsa area event support need is a Color Guard, contact us!

Table of Remembrance:

Though no one is able to trace the history of the White POW/MIA Table back to its very beginning, it is believed to have originated by the River Rats during the Vietnam War.  Once the war was over, it is believed the tradition continued state-side as a commemorative to the fallen comrades as well as the men who were still missing in action.   It wasn’t long before the tradition became a part of each military branch.  Over the years, the “table” has evolved and there are some slight differentiation that exists between the tables set by each branch of the military.  The general principle, and most of the setting, is similar.  If your Tulsa area event support need consists of taking a military or veteran event to the next level, you will want our Table of Remembrance ceremony.

Military Homecomings / Honor Flights:

“We can’t all be heroes.  Some of us have to stand on the curb and clap as they walk by” – Will Rogers

“The O & A (Oklahoma and Arkansas) Honor Flight team is dedicated to serving our veterans by flying the veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials that have been built in their honor. This experience is an exciting, emotional and whirlwind of a day, but a day we hope that you would like to be a part of.”

Event Support:

You name it, we pretty much do it.  We have performed as ushers.  We have handed out water to guests of events.  We have interacted with the public at information tables for events.  We have helped with set up and tear down of events.  If your Tulsa area event support need is more general in nature, contact us and let us know your needs, we’ll figure it out from there.
